The Land Transport Authority (LTA) will be extending the existing adult CBT system, to operate in parallel with the SimplyGo system.
The following groups/cards are eligible for a free CBT card:
- EZ-Link cards that were converted to SimplyGo between 9 and 22 January 2024;
- SimplyGo EZ-Link cards that were bought between 9 and 22 January 2024;
- All eligible SimplyGo Concession cards converted or issued on or before 22 January 2024;
- All who have purchased a NETS Prepaid Card between 9 and 22 January 2024.

  1. How do I check if I am eligible for a free CBT EZ-Link card? Where and when can I collect my new CBT EZ-Link card?

      1. Go to the SimplyGo website: https://go.gov.sg/eligibilitychecker
      2. Key in your 16-digit SimplyGo card identification number (CAN ID found at the back of the card)
      3. Bring your eligible SimplyGo EZ-Link card to any Ticket Office to collect your new CBT EZ-Link card between 18 March to 30 June 2024. Collection dates will be based on the last digit of your existing card’s identification number.

    You do not need to rush as there are sufficient card stock for distribution.

  2. What if I missed my collection window, can I still collect the new CBT EZ-Link card?

    If you missed your collection window, you may collect your CBT EZ-Link card from 29 April to 30 June 2024 at any SimplyGo Ticket Office. No appointment is required.

  3. Am I eligible for a new CBT card if I  upgraded my EZ-Link charm/thematic EZ-Link card to SimplyGo?

    Eligible SimplyGo EZ-Link charm/cardholders will be issued a free CBT EZ-Link card.  You may check your eligibility here: https://go.gov.sg/eligibilitychecker

  4. What will happen to my SimplyGo EZ-Link card or charm after I collect the new CBT EZ-Link card?

    You may still use your SimplyGo EZ-Link card or charm for public transport or retail. If you wish to refund or transfer the remaining value in the SimplyGo EZ-Link card or charm to the new CBT EZ-Link card, you may do so at any SimplyGo Ticket Office. If it is crowded, you are strongly encouraged to come back another time.

    Please note that the SimplyGo EZ-Link card will no longer be usable once refund or transfer is completed.

  5. I am holding a customised Adult EZ-Link card (e.g. a PAssion Adult Card, PAssion Silver Non-Concession Card), do I need to head down to the ticket office to collect the CBT EZ-Link card?

    Yes, eligible Adult EZ-Link cardholders (non-concession card) may head to the Ticket Office to collect the CBT Adult EZ-Link card.

    Collection dates will be based on the last digit of their existing card’s identification number. Please bring your SimplyGo EZ-Link card during collection. You may retain your PAssion Card for PAssion Membership.

  6. I have refunded my co-brand bank card with EZ-Link functionality during the 9 to 22 Jan 2024 period, am I eligible for the card collection programme?

    You will be issued a free CBT EZ-Link card.

  1. How do I check if I am eligible for a new NETS FlashPay card?


    You may check your eligibility by entering the 16-digit NETS Prepaid Card identification number (CAN ID) found at the back of the card on the SimplyGo website at https://go.gov.sg/eligibilitychecker

    Or call NETS hotline at 6274 1212 (9am to 9pm daily).

  2. When can I collect the new NETS FlashPay card?

    You can proceed to the Ticket Office or Ticketing Service Centre from 1 April to 30 June 2024 to collect your NETS FlashPay card.

  3. What if I missed the collection window? Can I still collect the new NETS FlashPay card?

    Commuters are advised to collect the NETS FlashPay card within the collection window.

  4. What will happen to my NETS Prepaid Card if I collect the new NETS FlashPay card? Will I be refunded the amount in the NETS Prepaid Card?

    You may still use the NETS Prepaid Card for public transport or retail.

    If you wish to refund the remaining value in the NETS Prepaid Card, you can do so via the NETS app.

  1.  How do I check if I am eligible for a free CBT Concession card?


    Senior Citizen, Workfare Transport, Person with Disabilities Concession cardholders and Adult Monthly Travel cardholders who converted their cards to SimplyGo on or before 22 January will receive a replacement CBT Concession card sent to their mailing address registered with TransitLink.

    You may check your eligibility by keying in your SimplyGo Concession card’s 16-digit card identification number (CAN ID) found at the back of the card via the following:

      1. SimplyGo website at https://go.gov.sg/eligibilitychecker
      2. SimplyGo hotline at 1800-2255 663.

  2. When will my CBT Concession card be mailed to me?

    The new CBT Concession card will be mailed out to all eligible Concession cardholders between 1 April and 31 May 2024.

  3. What should I do after I receive my CBT Concession card?

    You may choose to activate your CBT Concession card at any SimplyGo Ticket Office upon receiving it.

    Please bring your NRIC, SimplyGo Concession card and new CBT Concession card.

    You will not be able to keep the SimplyGo Concession card after you activate the new CBT Concession card

  4. I enjoy using my SimplyGo Concession card. Is it a must that I activate the CBT Concession card mailed to me?

    It is not mandatory to activate the CBT Concession card mailed to you. To prevent fraudulent usage, you may cut the card into half and dispose it and continue to use your SimplyGo Concession Card.

  5. I still have my Monthly Concession Pass (MCP) active in my SimplyGo Concession card, can I go and activate the new CBT Concession card?

    Please wait until your active MCP expires before activating your new CBT Concession card as the MCP cannot be transferred.

  6. Why are Child Concession cards not eligible for the replacement CBT Concession card?

    Both SimplyGo and CBT Child Concession cards enjoy free travel on public transport with no fares or card balance shown on fare gates or bus card readers. Given that there is no significant difference in either card, a replacement CBT Concession card will not be issued.

  7. Will the expiry date of my Concession card change for the new CBT Concession card?

    The new CBT Concession card will have a new expiry date.

  1. When will the sale of CBT EZ-Link and NETS FlashPay cards resume in transit?


    Resumption of the sale of CBT cards at SimplyGo Ticket Offices will be announced at a later date.

    In the meantime, commuters can continue to purchase CBT cards at selected convenience stores (7-11, Cheers or Buzz).
